Abstract EN

The present study aimed to identify the effect of the" Orthon-gilingham " in developing reading skills among the group of hearing impaired students enrolled in the school of hearing-impaired children.

The number of which was estimated at 30 hearing-equipped pupils.

The researcher applied a series of tests and scale to assess reading skills using statistical packages for social sciences through statistics.

The simple descriptive test as well as the "T" test to clarify the presence or ence of statistical significance for the differences between the control and experimental groups.

The results of the study indicated that there is a significant and effective effect of the method used, while the effect of ag anacademic level factor appears.

And it recommended the necessity to diversify teaching methods and respect the characteristics of the hearing impaired.
