Certainly, this indicates that our heritage is great enough to respond to modern criticism thought.

''The analysis of the Sufi discourse in the light of modern criticism methodologies'' by the Algerian critic Amina Belaala has opened new horizons for treating the mystical discourse particularly in the light of theory of reception.

Therefore, our study attempted to explore that book and examine the author's mechanisms followed to deal with this discourse according to the concepts of the reception theory.

This is to discover how the Belaala contributed to the field of criticism in the Arab world.

Consequently, we found that she utilized concepts like: 'interaction', 'aesthetic distance', 'horizon of expectation' 'communication'.
