The research aims to apply date envelopment analysis (DEA) to estimate the relative efficiency for three groups of countries (low, middle, and high income countries).
the efficiency indicator is counted through a set of inputs (Global Competitiveness Indicators) and outputs (Human Development Indicators) of those countries.
We have found that 47% of high-income countries achieved full efficiency.
Followed by middle-income countries where 23% has achieved full efficiency in this group.
within low- income countries, only 18% of this group have achieved full efficiency.
We found also that basic requirements represents the main decision variable in the three groups.
