Abstract EN

The research seeks to demonstrate the impact of assessing the performance of banks using the CAMELS system on the market value of banks.

The CAMELS system is one of the most important systems used in the process of evaluating the banking performance.

This system relies on several indicators that work together to analyze the efficiency of banks from all sides.

The research is based on two assumptions.

The first is that the performance of banks listed in the Iraqi market for securities is measured and determined by applying the CAMELS standards.

Secondly, there is an inverse relationship between the results of the banking valuation process (CAMELS) and the market value of listed banks In the Iraqi market for the Aura The aim of the research is to prove the effective role of evaluating the performance of banks under the CAMELS system in determining the level of real efficiency of the banks listed in the Iraqi market for securities.

Thus, through the research, the CAMELS system was applied to the credit bank and using financial and statistical methods, A number of conclusions have been reached.

Perhaps most important, the study showed the importance of applying the CAMELS system in banks to avoid deterioration and to avoid the risk in a timely fashion and its impact on their market value
