Abstract EN

Small and intermediate projects faced many difficulties and challenges in Iraqi economy such as the difficulty of getting funding for the continuity and competition.

In order to delimit these difficulties, there must be a study of the funding programs presented to small and intermediate projects by the funding companies and private banks in moderate prices of the benefits ranged (8% -10% ) to facilitate the task of the owners of these small and intermediate projects in gaining loans to fund their projects, getting more work chances, and reinforcing the role of these projects in achieving the economic development.

This study concludes that the majority of loans are given to the service and commercial projects and there is a decrease in the loans that directed to the productive, agricultural, and industrial sectors.

This matter is assured by the role of the private sector in achieving the local and total production
