This research paper aims to study the method of symbolic interpretation and reading the Jewish religious text in the Hellenistic era, through one of the most important philosophers and theologians of the School of Alexandria, Philon of Alexandria, who worked on symbolically interpreting the books of the Torah, and from this our study came as an attempt to trace the characteristics of the theory of metaphorical interpretation as formulated by Fillon As well as knowing the extent to which he was influenced in formulating this theory by his Jewish environment on the one hand in reading the sacred text (the Torah), and by Greek philosophy on the other hand, which in turn knew the metaphor through its philosophical schools of Stoicism, Pythagoreanism and others, in addition to our approach to symbolic interpretation of Philon, the aim of which came to know What he played in bringing about the reconciliation between philosophy and religion
