Abstract EN

This research aimed at investigating the effect of Swom's Strategy in developing the skills of mathematical excellence and Perceived self- Efficacy among first-grade students of the secondary stage.

The research adopted the experimental design (two equivalent groups).

Participants were (62) students enrolled are students of the first grade of the secondary stage and divided into two groups; control group (31) students and experimental one (31) students.

Materials used in the study were: a content analysis of the polygons similarity unit in first-grade mathematics at the secondary stage, a student's manual and a teacher guide which were performed according to the stages of Swom Strategy.

and the two measurement tools were the Mathematical Excellence Skills Test and the Perceived Self-Efficiency Scale.

Results indicated the effect of using Swom Strategy in developing the Mathematical Excellence Skills and Perceived self- Efficacy of first-grade students at the secondary stage.

According to these results, set of recommendations and suggestions for further researches were presented.
