Abstract EN

The research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using multiple intelligences strategies in developing mathematical conceptual understanding of fifth grade elementary stage students in Jeddah.

The quasi-experimental research was used in this research.

The sample of the research was composed of 50 students, divided into two groups: an experimental group was taught by using the multiple intelligences strategies, and the control group was taught by using the normal way.

A test of conceptual understanding was prepared by the researcher to measure the unit of denominators and multiplications at the levels of illustration, interpretation, and application, forming a perspective, and preparing a teacher's guide for teaching the unit.

One of the outcomes of the research is coming up of a list of the most effective multiple intelligences strategies in developing mathematical conceptual understanding of elementary stage students.

The results also showed a statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of the two groups in the mathematical conceptual understanding subsequent test in favor of the experimental group and the presence of high impact of learning which proves the effectiveness the teaching by using the theory of multiple intelligences strategies
