Abstract EN

The aim of this paper is to study the impact of oil price volatility on renewable energy in Algeria using the ARCH et GARCH model, based on annual data of the Algerian economy for the period from 1991-2019.

Empirical results show that oil price volatility have a positive effect on renewable energy in Algeria.

When oil prices rise, the amount of renewable energy production rises, and when the price of oil decreases, the quantity produced decreases.

These results have important implications for risk management and renewable energy policies.
