Abstract EN

The oil sector is the engine of the national economy and its revenues are the fuel of this engine.

It is being still depending on oil revenues to finance the economy and local development, but relying on oil as the main source of income made national economy vulnerable to shocks .we have examined the impact of oil prices and the attendant effects on government social policies in Algeria particularly.

The financial abundance resulting from the rise in oil revenues and the rise in oil prices are considered as the main engine of development in Algeria.

The development which the government worked hard to fulfill by the adoption of several economic programs that included various social policies aimed to improve the living conditions of citizens and ensuring a decent life for them.
