Abstract EN

The study aimed to understand unconscious aspects of personality among, Palestinian generations living in the Palestinian refugee camp (grandfather, son, and grandson), from the same Palestinian family and residing in the Palestinian refugee camp in Nablus.

The content of the semi-directive interviews was analyzed and the Thematic Apperception Test was applied.

The results showed that the mechanisms of emergence in primary processes were more frequently used by the son, and then followed by the father.

The mechanisms of conflict avoidance, transformation and control, they were more used by the son, followed by the father and then the grandfather.

The three participants also showed the existence of a support relationship in which the other is invested as an indispensable support, and the existence of conflict and depressive dimension relationship with the problem of loss and abandonment.
