Abstract EN

The research paper attempts to summarize the means and indicators for studying poverty in general, and then projecting them to the reality specific to Algeria, because of the particular nature of the problem of poverty in Algerian studies and in terms of representation of the concept.

The application of techniques known to measure poverty and its indicators makes it possible at least to classify Algeria in the appropriate category and thus answer the question of whether Algeria is a rich or poor country? And what are the aspects of each possibility: Poverty, wealth, given the contradictory figures that describe reality properly.
