This article aims to highlight Abdeljalil Mortad 's efforts in the field of linguistic communication, and its elements to which he paid attention, by projecting it, on the reporting process of the Holy Qur'an, in the light of modern linguistic studies.

through his book: « The modern linguistics in The Qur'an »This research paper includes a preface, four chapters and a conclusion, as the following- 1st chapter: Proofs by author that all living beings communicate.

- 2nd chapter: Reporting process between Qur'an and Jakobson linguistics.

- 3rd chapter: Dissection of the six linguistic communication functions.

- Last chapter: Linguistic functions in the Holy Qur'an.
