Abstract EN

Math's is an indicator of the level of scientific thinking of the learner.

The researcher felt that there is a problem in applying the measures and the educational evaluation in line with the contemporary challenges of developing the education systems, which aim at recognizing the reality of the educational evaluation of the material in the Algerian secondary education institutions and determining the most important difficulties that hinder the measurement and the educational evaluation according to the standards of approach to competencies.

The study is based on the survey tool to collect and organize data on the reality of mathematics education, which is offset by the most important difficulties of assessment, and to verify the validity of the hypotheses, percentages and frequencies have been used as statistical methods for data.

The results have been obtained by emphasizing that the majority of teachers are adopting the written examination as a single method of educational measurement, although they have applied other methods of measurement such as observation and performance testing, due to a range of difficulties in pedagogic and organizational terms.

The study concluded in the last to emphasize the necessity of forming a professor in building tests of different kinds, taking the quality test specifications according to the students' cognitive levels, as well as their formation in methods and methods of measuring and teaching the educational material according to criteria that are compatible with modern measurement and educational evaluation tools.
