Abstract EN

The kinetics of the Arab cultural, literary and critical field has seen a quantum leap that brought a change and in the nineteenth century, the event called the Arab Renaissance or enlightenment.

This project is an intellectual event worth studying in depth, because a term of Renaissance itself raises many theoretical and historical questions, given the current dependency of the Arab thought in our days on the western intellect in its cultural, literary, intellectual dimensions, with the complete ence of the Arab Islamic patrimonial elements.

The point in this paper is to seek for the extent to which the kinetics of the current critical methods are In line with the project of the Arab Islamic Renaissance, and whether or not the Arab intellect managed to produce critical methods that are inspired from the Arab patrimony, and invest them in developing the appropriate methodology that can be used in the study of the Arab texts, and whether or not the nineteenth century could establish a new specific Arab thought.
