This analytical study attemps to detect the presence of the fantastic novel title: The manifestations of the fantastic in the novel: The marquee of the dream and the bereavement, by Azzedine Jallawjy.

This novel is considered as one of the contempary algerian novels which adopted the fantastic as a modernist technique which possesses the competence to dissect reality and to follow its transformation and anticipate its results.
