This article aims to provide an introductory reading of the contents of one of the chapters of the most important book in the critical analysis of discourse: " Methods of Critical Discourse analysis" edited by Roth Wodak and Michel Meyer, which carries the title " The discourse– historical approach" written by Martin Reisegl and Roth Wodak.

At the same time, the concepts of this approach and their operations, mechanisms and phases.

And stand in these elements and clarify its work in the discourse approach from a historic perspective.
