Abstract EN

Pr Abderrahman Hadj Salah had always been interested in analysing the Algerian educational system, publishing a number of articles about the importance that has to be given to language teaching at all the levels from the primary school to the university.

In this context, we seek in this paper to highlight the most important scientific principles according to Pr Hadj Salah that have to be taken into consideration for teaching and learning Arabic language, especially his views on the language that must be taught to the learner, and how to develop language curricula for the mastery of both the linguistic and the communicative competencies.

Le professeur Abderrahman Hadj Salah s’est toujours intéressé à l’analyse du système éducatif algérien, publiant ainsi un nombre d’articles sur l’importance qui doit être accordée à l’enseignement des langues à tous les niveaux allant du primaire à l’université.

Dans ce contexte, nous essayons à travers cette étude de souligner les principes scientifiques les plus importants, qui selon le Pr.

Hadj Salah, doivent être pris en considération dans le domaine de l’enseignement/ apprentissage des langues en général et de l’arabe en particulier en Algérie et dans le monde arabe.

Nous notons en particulier son point de vue sur la langue à enseigner à l’apprenant et sur la conception de programmes ayant pour objectif l’acquisition de la compétence linguistique et communicative.
