Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the reality of Islamic windows, which were recently opened in Algerian traditional banks, and their role in promoting financial inclusion, by attracting new segments of society, who were financially excluded, for purely ideological reasons, for fear of falling into usurious transactions.

The study found that Islamic windows, when opened in traditional banks, which are witnessing a wide spread, compared to Islamic banks, whose number is very few in Algeria, do not exceed two banks represented in ELBARAKA Bank and ESSALAM Bank, contribute by attracting new segments of society, rejecting usurious transactions, in promoting financial inclusion.
