The rise of digitization, combined with other long-term social and macroeconomic transformations, has led Posts to extend their services far beyond the mere distribution of letters.
The study aims to identify strategic perspectives for the postal sector.
The analysis of postal development in terms of innovation serves the prosperity of the postal sector on the one hand and the well-being of societies around the world on the other.
With a worldwide network of more than 677,000 post offices, 5.3 million employees and physical infrastructure in 192 countries, Posts play a vital socio-economic role.
This requires more modern technological infrastructure.
Most postal companies have at present understood the need for an active presence on the Web for the good development and sustainability of their company.
More and more of them are adapting their marketing strategy to the demands of the Web and seizing the many opportunities offered by the revolution and setting up reliable, well-connected and relevant services The use of ICT allows new uses and modes of trade and consumption as well as an evolution of the traditional frontier of the postal market, logistics, distribution, etc

L'envol de la numérisation, combiné aux autres transformations sociales et macroéconomiques à long terme, a conduit les postes à étendre leurs services bien au-delà de la simple distribution des lettresL'analyse du développement postal sous l'angle de l'innovation sert à la prospérité du secteur postal d'une part et de l'autre part le bien-être des sociétés dans le monde entier.
En effet, avec un réseau mondial de plus de 677 000 bureaux de poste, 5, 3 millions d'employés et une infrastructure physique présente dans 192 pays, les postes jouent un rôle socio-économique essentiel.
Cela exige plus d'infrastructures technologiques modernes.
La plupart des entreprises postales ont à l'heure actuelle compris la nécessité d'une présence active sur le Web pour le bon développement et la pérennité de leur société.
Ces derniers sont de plus en plus nombreux à adapter leur stratégie marketing aux exigences du Web et à saisir les nombreuses opportunités offertes par la révolution et mettre en place des services fiables, bien connectés, pertinents.
