The study of energy substitution policy in Algeria, particularly in the road transport sector, has become a major concern of energy economists, due to the fulfilment of the public authorities' commitments to respect for the environment (Kyoto Protocol), the objective of which is to reduce greenhouse emissions on the one hand and on the other hand to direct national energy consumption towards available, less polluting energies and the cost of technological adaptation is the least expensive.
The objective of this article is to analyse the substitutions between the different earth fuels.
This was achieved by econometric modelling of the translog model applied by the SUR method on a database collected from NAFTAL.
Our results show that the substitutability between certain earth fuels is not total, and for some others are complementary.

L'étude de la politique de substitutions énergétiques en Algérie, notamment dans le secteur de transport routier est devenue une préoccupation majeure des économistes de l'énergie, en raison d'honorer les engagements des pouvoirs publics vis à vis du respect de l'environnement ( protocole de Kyoto), dont l'objectif est de réduire les émissions à effet de serre d'un coté et d'un autre coté d'orienter la consommation énergétique nationale vers les énergies disponibles, les moins polluantes et dont le coût d'adaptation technologique est le moins cher.
L'objectif de cet article est d'analyser les substitutions entre les différents carburants terre.
Pour y parvenir on a fait appel à la modélisation économétrique du modèle translog appliquée par la méthode SUR sur une base de données collectées auprès de NAFTAL.
Nos résultats montrent que la substituabilité entre certains carburants terre n'est pas totale, et pour certains autres sont complémentaires.
