The acceptance of Shaykh Muhammad Ben Abdelkrim Al-Maghili in the space of Touat represents a turning point in the history of this place that has now become a major step in the dispersion of the Qadiriyya towards the Bilad Al- Sudan.

The proof is given by the choice of Al-Maghili to appoint, as successor to the head of the chiefdom of this tariqa, a native of Touat, Shaykh Omar Ben Ahmed Al-Bakkây Al-Kounti, rather than one of his Sudanese disciples, despite his long stay in Sudan (20 years), compared to the two short years spent in Touat.

The natives of this space, at the head of which we find the members of the Kunta tribe, participated in the anchoring of the tariqa in the Bilad Al Sudan.

These data confirm the role of Shaykh Ben Abdelkrim and the Kunti of Touat in the expansion of the Qadiriyya in Sudan, despite the attempts of particular Qadirî Sufis from other areas, including the Egyptian Mohamed Al-Baghdâdî, Shaykh of the tariqa Mahmoudiyya in 1550
