The study aimed to find out the effectiveness of using a training program based on phonological awareness in improving the reading performance of first-grade students.

The study sample consisted of (100) first-grade students in the academic year 2018-2019.

The study followed the quasi-experimental approach based on the sample to study the effect of using phonological awareness training in improving the reading performance of first-grade students.

Improving the level of reading performance after the end of the program, as well as during the follow-up measurement.
