The Francophone writers of Arabic origin introduce into the French language cultural elements which are specific to their cultures and mother tongues.
This article aims to answer the following questions: Can we consider the translation into Arabic as a simple journey back to the origin? Or, is it considered as a second migration? The selected examples from the novel "Le Rocher de Tanios" by Amin Maalouf have shown that the translation into Arabic of this type of novel is a two-movement operation.

Les écrivains francophones d’origine arabe introduisent dans la langue française des éléments culturels propres à leurs cultures et langues maternelles.
Ce qui fait de la traduction vers la langue arabe un processus spécifique: Est-elle un simple retour vers l’origine (un rapatriement)? Ou une seconde migration? Les exemples choisis du roman «Le rocher de Tanios» d’Amin Maalouf ont démontré que la traduction des romans francophones vers la langue arabe est une opération qui se fait selon deux mouvements.
