This paper is a thematic study of the rise of the war-profiteers in Berthold Brecht's Mother courage and Her Children (1939-40) and Arthur Miller's All My sons ( 1949 ) .It traces out the opportunism of the profiteers of war who have grown as a result of the social and political circumstances emerging from the Thirty- Years- War ( 16)8-48 ) in Mother Courage and the world war II in All My Sons .Such wars provide order to satisfy their IN a suitable soil for the profiteers to exploit people own financial interests.
Through their plays, Brecht and Miller denounce the bourgeois and capitalistic ideologies which have led to destruction and catastrophes in their societies and indirectly ask for their redemption.
