Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is explaining the financing and investment role of the Jordanian Islamic banks financing formulas, by evaluating the investment role of the Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB), and the Islamic International Arab Bank (IIAB).

The study has employed five standards included the area of investing money in those banks, the relative importance of the investment methods, the size of Assets, the size of financing and investment, the size of investment income, and the relative importance for investment deposits .

The study has found that the Jordanian Islamic banks relay on Murabahah and Ijarah and distancing from Musharakah and Mudarabah, which resulted in there limited investive role, due the ties between Murabahah and safer short term commercial finance.

This proves; that sector of housing and construction has dominated the investments of both JIB and IIAB, whereas the level of financing was extremely low in the agricultural and industrial sectors.

In addition, the study shows that there is a positive statistical significance effect of Murabahah and BayeAjel financing on the volume of financing and investment in Jordanian Islamic banks, and there is no statistically significant effect of Mudarabah, Musharakah, Ijarah, Istisna’ and AlqardAlhasan financing on the volume of financing and investment in Jordanian Islamic banks.
