: It stands to reason that the concept of argumentation goes frequently mentioned in many fiqhi, philosophical, linguistic and rhetorical fields this stems from the fact that the concept of argumentation has been controversial due to its intersection with various areas and the different approaches and viewpoints that endeavor to interpret it.

this paper investigates some of the rhetorical appropriations of the concept of argumentation as derived from al-jahiZ, al-sakaki and ibn wahb highlighting the importance of this concept to them and asserting its affiliation.
