Abstract EN

Kufa has a distinguished place in Islamic history, being one of the oldest cities founded by Muslims, and one of the two bases from which the Islamic armies were launched for jihad in the East.

The geographical, historical and intellectual Importance it enjoyed made it the capital of the Islamic State during the reign The Khalifat Ali Bin Abi Talib (May Allah honor him) for the period from (36 AH - 40 AH).

The research is divided into three sections, the first section: Kufa and its geographical position, the second section: Kufa and its historical position, and the third one: Kufa and its intellectual position, then the conclusion, then a list of sources and references.
