This study addresses the use of electronic sources and references in research and historical studies.

Accordingly, the significance of digital sources and references in historical research is highlighted.

Besides, a set of scholar rules and standards to be applied in online research process are provided.

On the one hand, the authentication method according to research methodology is indicated, and internet services' specifications whether research knowledge and/or communication on the other.
