Abstract EN

This research aims to learn one of the vocational problems in Iraq that many of vocational school suffer from till the present time which is school dropout.

It is one of the academic learning system problems as the vocational learning is basic and necessary part of the teaching system in the country because vocational secondary school students are the resource to prepare future work power that carry the responsibility to involve in industrial, agricultural, commercial and service projects.

Also it has its active role in preparing the staff that are activity after complete vocational secondary school to be skilful work power qualified by learning and practically to enter work market after graduation.

But this level face the problem of school dropout for both male and female for the contemporary demographi, social and cultural changes that occurs in the feature and structure of the society occur after 2003 although the fields are open for the vocational school to enroll in state university and colleges for outstanding students and other students enroll in private colleges.

This research discusses the analysis of spatial variation in Baghdad governorate on the level of administrative units.

It was observed that there is great difference in the levels rates and increased in Baghdad in the studying year 2013/2014 distributed on administrative units.

We find that Abughraib, Tarmia, Sadr and Mahmodia are the highes in school dropout rates because of security situations according to increase of violence crises and reduced teaching services.

The occurrence of changes related to social and economic conditions, inherited negative view on vocational work as it is useless with little available jobs opportunities for gradates are the most important reasons for vocational school dropout.
