Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was the study of the role of life skills training in adolescent mental health young adults of Kurdistan province of Iran.

To perform of this study I used from (GHQ) questionnaire, General Health Questionnaire.

In this study I used the GHQ test to know the effect of training life skills in adolescent mental health.

In this study population consists of all students (boys and girls) High School first base in Kurdistan province (according to the statistics obtained from the education experts of Kurdistan, a total of 20,830 persons.

To compare, I selected 240 people of high school teens divided into two trained and untrained students in two groups.

The first group included 120 boys and girls of high school students who have been trained life skills in Kurdistan province and randomly have been chosen, and the second group or control group included 120 untrained students who are also randomly selected.

According to the grading practices in mental health questionnaire, the lower score indicates better mental health.

Findings show the average scores of trained students in general mental health is less than the average untrained student and less than the difference in the level of 05 / is meaningful.

The results also show that the subscales of anxiety and depression are significantly different, and the trained people have less average of untrained people.

But differences in the two subscales of physical disorders and social functioning is not significant.

Generally, life skills training adolescent mental health (male and female) in Kurdistan was effective.

The rate of life skills of students trained were more than the expected rate and the difference is significant.

in this study The impact of education in improving life skills and increasing social communication skills, this assumption is approved, It continues education and life skills courses and increases the time students relationships with parents, teachers and classmates.
