Abstract EN

This modest study deals with the history of the protest movement and the demands of Sidi Bel Abbes Laborers during the colonial era from 1905 to 1935, with reference to the first signs of that movement in the region.

Certainly, from the theoretical side, we will find that the definitions of the protest movement are many and infinite, but on the ground and in the field, we find that the workers are summarized in two things: strikes and demonstrations, and both actions have a strong impact on the ruling authority.

We will find that the workers of Sidi Bel Abbas (Algerians and Europeans) In the colonial era, they took the two previous forms as a weapon to raise the ceiling of their social demands.
