By establishing the Abbasid Caliphate, the Tulunid state dealt a blatant blow that divided opinion among its supporters and opponents when Ahmed bin Tulun used his intelligence to convince the “approved caliph of independence in the Wilayat of Egypt,” while his crown prince “Al-Muwafaq” did not accept and formed a strong obstacle for him, and he opposed him seeking To reclaim Egypt, until Ibn Tulun died, and his young son Khamarawayh inherited his possessions, so Al-Muwaffaq was optimistic and saw that the time was the time for political planning, which he conveyed to his son “Al-Mutadhid.” The young man closely interested in reclaiming Egypt, but his father advised him to achieve his goal with the measure, by saying: The Banu Tulun will not be taken soon? As long as they have in their hand the treasures of Egypt, and under their feet are the treasures of the Pharaohs.” And this son of his is what will complete his career, and when he came to power, the two young rulers found themselves face to face and had inherited a heavy legacy and political hostility with ancient roots, and a heavy responsibility was placed upon them, and soon Al-Mu'tadid began to implement his father's wise plan, taking advantage of Khamarweh's exaggerated extravagance.

He plotted polytheism for him and, unfortunately, Khamarawih rushed and fell into it without notice, and he participated with the Abbasid Caliph in the unintentional collapse of his independent state.
