English Abstract

The research dealt with an introduction to the Oud instrument in Arabic music, its history and development, and the most important instrumental molds in Arabic music.

Then the researcher reviewed the research problem, its importance and objectives, research questions and previous studies related to the topic of the research.

The researcher dealt with the theoretical framework of the research in terms of identifying the oud instrument, its history, the parts of the instrument, the composition of the strings and their names, the sound space of the instrument and the terms used in the performance, as well as in terms of the practical aspect, as she dealt with an analysis of one of the mechanical templates, which is the Lunga template (Lunga Nahawand - Jamil Bek El Tanbouri).

And she analyzed the longa and identified the difficulties of playing it, then the researcher did a variety of exercises to overcome these difficulties, and in conclusion, the researcher made a detailed explanation of all the cells of the longa and commented on the work in terms of the method of the maqam analysis, then presented the results of the research through her answers to the research questions, which aims to raise The performance level of the Oud instrument student, then explained the research recommendations, references, appendices and a summary of the research
