The current research aims to find out: The level of avoidant personality disorder among university students.
- The level of emotional memory among university students.
- The correlation of avoidant personality disorder and emotional memory.
- ifferences with statistical significance for avoidant personality disorder according to the sex variable (male - female).
5- Statistically significant differences in emotional memory according to the gender variable (male - female).
To achieve this, the researcher used a scale (Nasser, 2002).
And a scale (Al-Rawaf, 2011) for emotional memory.
After verifying the validity and reliability of the two scales, they were applied to a sample of (400) students from the University of Babylon, which was selected by random method.

The research reached the following results: University students have avoidant personality disorder.
University students have an emotional memory.
Males do not differ from females in avoidant personality disorders.
Females outperform males in emotional remembrance.
There is a direct correlation between avoidant personality disorders and emotional memory.
In light of the results, the researcher made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Building educational and guidance programs to enhance the identity of the self for its active role in the process of social communication with others.
The curricula include emotional stimuli associated with cognitive experiences in order to facilitate their remembering by students later because they will be part of the emotional memory, as well as including stimuli that stimulate subconscious cognitive memories to facilitate their recall when solving problems or completing the problematic situation gaps.
Also, in light of the results, the researcher put forward a number of proposals for conducting future scientific research and studies, the most important of which are: 1.The researcher suggests conducting a study: 1-Conducting studies dealing with the relationship of emotional memory with one of the following variables: 2-Perceptual distortions, discursive memory, regressive thoughts, forming cognitive plans, making cognitive judgments, intuitive conceptual processes, personal cognitive unconsciousness, familiarity with events, implicit memory, cognitive dissonance, trauma memory, separation anxiety, or false memory.
