The contribution of renewable energies is known in generating electric energy, what strengthened the investment strategy in it and pushed for its encouragement and development, which will have a prominent economic, social and environmental impact on that.

through this paper, we will try to study the development of electric energy production using renewable energy sources, and the development in renewable energy technologies at the global level in recent years, along with the recorded decrease in production costs, in addition to the policies supporting their use in various fields.

all these factors push to exploit renewable energies sources to produce electricity, since electricity is the most used source of energy in our time, as it runs machinery in factories, used in lighting and managing all household appliances, and activates trains and subways, also small-but growing-number of passenger cars fueled by it, in addition to all that, there are several initiatives-limited but on the rise-calling for electric transport to be linked to renewable energy.
