Abstract EN

This study aims to show the extent of the tourism sector's contribution to achieving the goals of sustainable development, through a standardized study of the impact of tourism variables represented in the number of arrivals, tourism revenues, tourism expenditures on the dimensions of sustainable development through the development of both per capita GDP and the development of the unemployment rate Agricultural land (% of land area) was developed in Algeria during the period 1995-2016 using the ARDL model.

The study concluded that the tourism sector has an important role in achieving the economic goal of sustainable development, while for the social goal the contribution remains weak, and with regard to the environmental goal, the increased interest in the tourism sector leads to an increase in the percentage of agricultural lands if they are used in the most appropriate way.
