Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the performance of the monetary policy of the bank of Algeria in achieving monetary stability during the period from 2000 to 2017, in addition to presenting and evaluating the policy of targeting inflation during the same period, and the research paper reached many results, the most prominent of which was that the monetary policy adopted by the bank of Algeria did not it can achieve the goal of monetary stability due to the presence of many non-monetary factors that affect the rate of inflation in Algeria, and the modern trend of monetary policy cannot be considered an inflation-targeting policy, but rather it is only a future forecast of inflation rates due to the lack of provision of the initial requirements for the embodiment and success of this policy.
