This study aims to highlight the role of public finance and the weight that carries in the overall balances of the Algerian economy.

Public revenues of various sources as well as public expenditures are important elements of this equation.

Algeria has embarked on several reforms related to public finances by seeking new sources to finance its revenues and diversify it outside the oil taxes.

The focus is on public finance reform within the perspective of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.

It has been reached the need to rely on modern methods in the management of the state's public budget through the management by objectives, with the need to review the various agreements concerning tax exemptions, whether internal or external, and the use of targeted tax intelligence.
