Abstract EN

The study aimed to demonstrate the impact of some financial governance expressed as (capital solvency, fixed assets ratio to capital, deposit utilization rate, and financial leverage) on the financial performance of Algerian commercial banks, expressed as (return on equity) as a mechanism of application governance: the study included a sample of five banks, for the period from 2012-2018, and to achieve the goal of this study, the static panel model was used.

the study found a negative impact of financial governance tools on the financial performance of commercial banks.

the study sample revealed a number of weaknesses in the performance of banks, and this result is logical to some extent due to the political and economic instability that the country witnessed during the study period.

and the inability of banks to utilize their resources optimally, all this negatively affected the performance of the banks.
