Fostering renewable energies investments as a driver of green growth : case study of Algeria

Energy is the engine of economic growth and development, however, environmental damages caused by traditional sources of energy have led the world economies to shift to cleaner and renewable sources of energy, this study aims to review renewable energy investments and explore the strategies and policies to foster renewable energies investments and their role in achieving green growth, for this purpose we used the descriptive and analytical methods.

We conclude that renewable energy is one of the most important drivers of green growth and that promoting investments in that field requires their integration in a large, comprehensive, and consistent policy in order to attract investors.
