The Abbasid Caliphate witnessed a march full of scientific and intellectual development for more than five centuries, during which the state's strength and weakness varied between the rise of a ruler and the decline of another, but the common denominator for each of them was the keenness that the Rashid capital would remain a beacon of knowledge and thought, and it was, until the Mongols invaded it and wreaked havoc in it.

Hence the transformation that changed the course of history forever and Baghdad began to disappear from the scene, leaving behind many questions that I will address in this research, starting with the fall of the city and the abuse of its people, to the deliberate destruction that was practiced against all its historical and cultural landmarks, which lost its place among the metropolitan world.
