Abstract EN

This paper identifies the importance of electronic commerce and its necessity in concluding contracts and transactions through distance, especially after the emergence of the pandemic Covid 19, which imposed a certain specific behaviors.

The present paper aims to define the legal framework of the concept of e-commerce in both Arab and foreign legislations and indicate the factors that helped the growth of e-commerce in the world.

Also to highlight the ability of e-commerce to carry out many functions in trade exchange operations to create the appropriate environment for various economic activities.

In addition the paper deals with the economic impacts of e-commerce and its importance at the level of individuals or the business sector in general.
