And that is by subjecting them to a set of principles and legal rules that aim, in their entirety, to keep them within the framework allocated to them, and to determine the relationship that should be between the candidates and the party supervising the electoral process, and on the other hand among the candidates themselves.

Achieving fair elections inevitably passes through a fair electoral campaign that is managed by an effective supervising authority that guarantees equality and equal opportunities for all candidates.

In Algeria, the legislator has entrusted the management of the electoral process to the Independent National Elections Authority.
