Citizens today enjoy the right to establish political parties as one of the most important political rights of man, the latter sponsored by international conventions and democratic constitutional systems in the world.

The Algerian constitutional founder has enshrined this right in most of the Algerian constitutions, starting with the pluralist constitution of 1989 and ending with the last constitutional amendment of 2020.

The Algerian legislator organized political parties under several laws, the last of which was the Organic Law 12-04 related to political parties, this latter which the legislator took care of organizing political parties in general and the right to establish them in particular.
