Abstract EN

The targeted governorates of the study has witnessed a divergent increase in the growth rate during the study period.

They raised in the southern provinces in order to reach its highest average in the north of Gaza and Khanyounis.

However, the growth rates declined to reach its ever lowest level in Ram Allah province.

The present study, therefore, counted on Seventeen quality of life signs related to the population of the Palestinian governorates.

These signals varied from population, economic, social and housing indicators.

The study also shows the extent to which these indicators vary in time during the study period in the governorates of the study area.

The author used a cluster analysis for the sake of producing results that reflect the reality of the quality of life in the target sample/area and monitoring the changes during the study period.

The results of the study concluded that the level of the quality of life of the population in the Northern provinces was generally higher than those in the Southern ones.

Furthermore, it was shown that the high quality of life during the study was only shown by two governess: Jericho and Tubas.

However, a decline was recorded in only three governorates; Ramallah, Jerusalem, and Khanyounis.

On the other hand, the rest of the governorates has recorded a relatively stable level, while the first five governorates that have been achieved the highest annual growth rate of its population during the period of study, which are the southern provinces, has scored the lowest level of life quality in 2017.

Finally, the researcher concluded his thesis by adding some recommendations.

Firstly, overcoming the challenge of the wide variation on quality of life indicators, especially among the northern governorates, requires taking geographically balanced development policies.

Additionally, it requires developing region-specific development polices in order to reduce the existing inequalities and their negative effect on the population's lives.
