The study aimed to reveal the foundations of freedom used by the citizen journalism on Gomhoreya Online site (as a representative of the national press) and Youm Sabe site (as a representative of the independent press), by studying a qualitive study to compare the interactive standards used in the two sites, and an analytical study to compare to the citizen journalism provided by these sites, the sample consisted of 514 topics over the course of three months, and a field study that monitors the trends of the Egyptian public towards the freedom of the citizen's journalism in question and the extent to which they use it, and the available intentional sample of 200 users of the citizen's journalism in question.

The study found: the two sites used all levels of interactive and partial ignorance system to publish comments.

Elyoum Elsabe was interested in presenting the summary news format and publishing complaints in the first place, while Elgomohoreya website was interested in presenting the detailed articles and social topics in the first place.

The degree of sample use of the sites studied is low, and the interest in this type of journalism was average, and the sample monitored positive sample trends towards the freedom of the citizen's journalism in question rather than negative trends.
