Abstract EN

The Arab critic took from the western theoretical achievement a beacon for him, he lines his sayings whenever he chooses for his procedural work theoretical introductions contributing to the field of mythological criticism.

Yet still, these submissions came at the level of automatic transfer of the sayings of Western critics without contemplating about them or framing a critical vision, which indicates a state of negative fascination that elevates the Western critical achievement to the level of olute perfection that cannot be discussed or questioned.

It may happen that an Arab critic tries to place a Western scientific theory in a particular classification, so he does not pay attention to the foundations from which he started, so the result is to fall into the illusion of misclassifying the theory, which is exactly what had happened in the case of the critic Hanna Abboud when he classified the theory of psychoanalysis developed by Carl Young, and Sigmund Freud's theory of psychoanalysis.

Two issues are included in this paper, the first being the term "mythological", a Western term that has gained attention in Western critical studies, and Arab critics have begun to turn to it.

The other issue is the term that suits this criticism.

Its employment in the Arab theoretical achievement has been disturbed, but there are signs of the stability of some of our critics on one term, namely (mythological criticism).
