Abstract EN
The French policy was characterized by a lot of oppression towards the Senegalese people, which resulted in many internal political, economic and social events, since France declared protection over it in 1904, when Senegal became one of the pillars of France in the West African region that worked to exploit the capabilities of its population by establishing A political, economic and social system that emulates the French interests.
It established a political system far from the tribal spirit prevailing among the colony's inhabitants, relying on military force and sought to break up the tribal system and impose a political system that calls for the French general ruler.
Cash crops, in addition, France sought to spread Christianity, the culture and the French language by establishing an educational and health system sponsored by the French missionary societies, which strived to exploit the provision of these services to achieve their goals.
