The special nature of prosecution and criminal trial requires that it take place in a reasonable time, but in many cases litigants, their defense, and even society complain about the slow procedures, and this is reflected negatively on justice that loses its credibility and on litigants whose rights and interests are disrupted, as it is said, slow justice is a form of injustice.

Faced with these conditions, most of the procedural legislations enshrined the principle of speedy procedures, however the search for speed in penal procedures should not be at the expense of the quality of justice, nor at the expense of guarantees of a fair trial.

The speed of the procedures should be done with a reasonable management of the judicial time, according to the circumstances and specificities of each case
